Bio

 

Diane is a London born Jazz influenced soul singer/songwriter and composer of new age and acoustic soul music. 

​As a jazz and lounge singer, she has performed at a number of venues and events, including: The Oxo Tower Restaurant, The Mirabelle, Le Pont de la Tour, The 5th Floor Cafe at Harvey Nichols, Montes, Sloane Square, The 10 Rooms- Piccadilly, Mezzo-Wardour Street, The Bluebird, L’Escargot, Quaglinos, The Sugar Reef, The Bluewater Festival, Marriot Hotels, The Soho Jazz Festival, and The Riverfront Jazz Festival. 

Her musical Influences include: Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Mahalia Jackson, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Karen Carpenter, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Isley Brothers,  Burt Bacharach, Laura Nyro, Erykah Badu, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell, Brian Wilson and Deva Premal.

Diane has years of experience singing in duos, trios and bands in and around London, as well as internationally.

She is also an author, novelist, and personal/spiritual development teacher. Her novel, 'Catching Feathers in The Wind,' described by a reviewer as 'a truly breathtaking read', is a tribute to music-lovers, jazz musicians, angels and old-fashioned romantics.

Her current musical projects include continuing to grow musically and explore exciting genres as a singer and songwriter, while finding ways to combine her passion for music with her desire to make a difference in the world. 

She is currently interested in fun collaborations, house concerts, festivals, retreats, happenings, and all other flagrant displays of unity, love and creativity.

Diane is also a comedy screenwriter, and the author of the award-winning comedy, In the Spotlight, the 2020 winner of the Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase award for Best International Webisode. 

Her hobbies include:- working, avoiding hobbies and finding ways of not having to cook much. 

She is currently working on a huge ghostwriting project and is open to hearing from humans, for moments of light relief!
