A 60 minute rampage through the most beautiful songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington and a host of other great jazz divas of the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

Backed by lush orchestral arrangements, on quality backing tracks, I’ll recapture the golden era of silk, satin, chiffon and swing. A time when the music was softer, the words were kinder and the culture was considerably more thoughtful. A time when people knew how to speak, write and sing about love. When it wasn’t considered too naive to wear your heart on your sleeve, count your blessings instead of sheep, dream a little dream of having someone to watch over you, or to allow someone to truly get under your skin. There was no bumping and grinding, no hitting and quitting, and afternoon delight was probably the name of a delicious fluffy sweet treat. No cynicism or kitchen sink dramas, just love sweet love, because that's definitely what the world needs now.

Add to all this jazz-inspired magic some of the most beautiful songs from the greatest and most well-loved easy-listening artists, and this promises to be an unapologetically mushy easy-listening love-fest.

Enjoy my renditions of songs made famous by such delectable pop and easy-listening stars as Matt Monroe, Carole King, James Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Dusty Springfield, The Carpenters, plus the more recent offerings from such soulful jazz-influenced artists as Anita Baker, Norah Jones and Rumer.

Of course, no easy-listening show would be complete without the iconic earlier work of Dionne Warwick, when her exquisite vocal range and multifaceted tone were showcased beautifully by the expansive, heavenly music of Burt Bacharach and the elegant lyrics of Hal David.

Spend a heart-opening hour with me, in the company of some of the greatest music of the 20th Century. Allow yourself to be swept away on a cloud of string arrangements, lilting melody lines and wistful lyrics that take you back into a distant romantic past when almost any dream seemed possible, and each one was sprinkled with love and stardust.
